The Sept. 16 issue of Advancing Excellence, the newsletter of the New York State Union of Teachers, has a brief announcement of the Walk of Lights. Joe and Susan were both long-time teachers.

The September, 2011 issue of the Oceanside Schools Newsletter has a short announcement about the Walk Of Lights.

The June 29, 2011 issue of the Suburban News has a photo and caption on awards to students at the Arthur L. Johnson High School in Clark, NJ.

A lady hears my book talk and is impressed and buys a book...she shares with me that she is a breast cancer survivor and will have a 40th birthday party...she calls me weeks later and says that she loves the pins..can she have 40 of them to give out at her birthday party...I send them to her...she sends me the check for the pins...she has her party and hands out the pins...one of the gifts she got was tix to see a taping of The View...she goes and gives 5 pins to stage hands, not thinking anything of it...Lo and behold, Sherri Sheperd, one of the hosts of The View is wearing the pin on national TV all show long...I get a phone call from the lady and she related this story to me...I quickly send 3 letters to the View, to Sherri Sheperd, and to Sherri's agent...I want the chance to explain what the pin represents on The View...go to The View web site and click on the Oct 7th episode...you'll see her wearing the pin...pretty neat, huh???"
